Maria Ocanas

Maria Lilia Ocanas, 77, went home to our Lord Monday, May 14, 2018, at her residence in Edinburg.

Born in Edinburg and she had lived there all of her life.

Ms. Ocanas is preceded in death by her husband, Enrique Ocanas; and her parents, Jose and Petra Jasso.

She is survived by her four children, Sandra (Gustavo) Casas, Henry (Gabriela) Ocanas, Vikki (Shane) Ganske, Denise (Abel) Salazar; six grandchildren, Austin Casas, Ryan Casas, Abel James Salazar, Vanessa Salazar, Andrea Ocanas, Matthew Ocanas; a great-granddaughter, Mia Casas; three brothers; and two sisters.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. memorial service Thursday, May 17, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, May 18, 2018, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen.
