NORBERTO ESCARENO
Norberto Escareño, 100, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at his residence in Pharr, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Juana C. Escareño; two children, Maria Del Carmen Sotelo and Alejo Escareño; parents, Alejo and Carmen Escareño; seven brothers; three sisters; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
Norberto is survived by his four children, Dehlia (Joe) Flores, Raul (Criselda) Escareño, Rogelio Escareño, Oralia Escareño; six grandchildren, Raul (Martha) Escareño II, Isabel (Ruben) Sotelo, Rohny Escareño, Robby (Jennifer) Escareño, Jimmie Joe (Heather) Flores, Billie Joe Flores; ten great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Friday, June 12, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
