BROWNSVILLE- Norberta Palacios Escobedo, 99, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at her granddaughter's residence Brownsville.
She is preceded in death by her spouse, Roque Palacios; parents, Pablo Escobedo and Martina Escobedo; and siblings, Maria Escobedo, Antonia Escobedo, Isabel Escobedo, Sara Escobedo, Felipe Escobedo, and Francisca Escobedo.
Norberta is survived by her children, Patricia (Eric) Martin, Rachel Rosalez, and Diana Garcia; six grandchildren, Melissa Ann Martin, Daniel Martin, Patricia Rosalez, Veronica Rosalez, Aaron Rosalez, Amanda (Arturo Alejandro) Cano De Lira and three cousins, Genaro (Gloria) Escobedo, Alvina (Pepe) Martinez, Marcos E. (Juanita) Mirelez.
Visitation will begin at 5 pm, with a 6 pm. rosary on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2pm, Monday, July 13, 2026, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Alamo.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
