NEENA BRIDGITTE HERNANDEZ
EDINBURG – Neena Bridgitte Hernandez, 37, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at her residence in Edinburg.
It is with deep sorrow and immense love that we remember Neena who passed away far too soon. A woman of remarkable intelligence, compassion, and creativity, she touched countless lives with her warmth, humor, and generous spirit.
An accomplished and highly educated woman, Neena earned her master’s degree in library science and always believing in the power of learning and growth. Her love for books filled both her shelves and her soul, and she could often be found lost in the pages of a favorite novel with one of her beloved cats nearby, earning her the title of “Young Cat Lady” from her mother.
Neena had creative heart and gifted hands, whether crafting thoughtful handmade treasures or sharing her latest project with friends and family, she brought beauty and joy into the world through her talent and imagination.
She was also a devoted fan of the New England Patriots, cheering faithfully through every season and never missing an opportunity to celebrate a big win and she loved to tease about the Dallas Cowboys which turned into a friendly rivalry every football season with her dad.
Neena was also an active animal rescuer, most recently saving astray puppy from starvation and nursing her back to health by getting her vaccinated and attempting to locate a forever home. Commonly, her rescue animals were not named to make the home transfer easier, however, Neena, did name her latest rescue puppy, Mia. Mia may have found her forever home at her parents’ ranch.
Above all, Neena shall be remembered for her kindness, intelligence, quick wit, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. She leaves behind cherished memories that will continue to comfort and inspire all who knew her.
She will be profoundly missed and forever loved.
