NATIVIDAD R. MEDRANO
Natividad R. Medrano, age 99, of La Blanca Texas, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on December 25, 1926, in Donna, Texas, to Antonio and Ponciana Ramirez.
Natividad lived a long and beautiful life centered on faith, family, and community. She was a devoted Catholic whose faith guided her throughout her life. Known for her warmth, generosity, and caring spirit, she touched the lives of many and created countless cherished memories with those she loved.
In 1949, she married the love of her life, Jesus Medrano, and together they built a family rooted in love, faith, and strong values.
Family was the heart of Natividad's life. She especially treasured the tradition of gathering with her loved ones every Sunday, moments filled with laughter, conversation, and the comforting meals she lovingly prepared. Her kitchen was always full of the delicious aromas of her homemade tortillas, charro beans, egg and bean tacos, and homemade tamales- meals that brought her family together time and time again.
Natividad was immensely proud of her family and was always present to support her grandchildren in all their activities. Whether it was cheering at football games, attending stock shows, celebrating birthdays, or simply showing up for life's everyday moments, she was always there. She was a proud supporter of the Edinburg Bobcats and could often be found under the Friday night lights wearing her red and blue, yelling "Defense". Sundays also meant football, and she rarely missed watching her beloved Dallas Cowboys play.
She also enjoyed traveling and especially loved her trips to Las Vegas, where she delighted in the adventure and excitement of spending time with family.
Natividad is survived by her loving children: Jesus (Gloria) Medrano, Elida (Ruben) Roman, Irma (Alberto) Limas, Yolanda (Baldomero) Ozuna, Hilda (Ernesto) Guzman, Gloria (+Roberto) Salinas, and Janie (Rene) Garza. She also leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Ponciana Ramirez; her beloved husband, Jesus Medrano; her two brothers and two sisters; and her son-in-law Roberto Salinas.
Natividad will be remembered for her loving heart, her unwavering devotion to her family, her strong faith, and the joy she found in bringing people together. Her presence, her cooking, her cheers from the stands, and the love she gave so freely will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
Her family finds comfort in knowing that her legacy of love, faith, and togetherness will continue for generations to come.
