TOMASITA MUNOZ
SAN JUAN - Tomasita Munoz, 93, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2010 at her residence in San Juan.
Born in Pesqueria Chica, N.L., Mexico, Mrs. Munoz had lived in San Juan most of her life and was a member of Iglesia Bautista Alfa y Omega in San Juan.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Basilio Munoz; a daughter, Enriqueta Rangel; and a son, Basilio Munoz, Jr.
Mrs. Munoz is survived by five sons, Zeferino (Cuca) Munoz of Mission, Pablo (Carol) Munoz of McAllen, Juan (Dora) Munoz, Jose (Rosa) Munoz, both of San Juan and Dimas (Sylvia) Munoz of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Dolores Torres of San Juan, Inez (Eleazar) Acevedo of Pasadena, Texas and Jesusa (Joel) Garcia of Houston, Texas; 33 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Zoilo Ortegon; and two sisters, Isabel Ortegon and Francisca Ortegon, all of Mexico.
A prayer service was held Friday, January 8, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., today, January 9, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
