SANTOS MUNOZ
EDINBURG – Santos Munoz, 96, died Monday, April 6, 2009, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Tamaulipas, Mexico, Mrs. Munoz had lived in Edinburg most of her life. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonardo Munoz, Sr.; two brothers, Hipolito Salinas and Sabas Salinas.
Mrs. Munoz is survived by eight children, Clemente (Fidela) Munoz, Sr., Ambrosia Munoz, Leonardo (Mari) Munoz, Jr., Virginia Munoz, Rufino (Elizabeth) Munoz, Miguel (Janie) Munoz, Sr., Rosalinda M. Castellano, all of Edinburg, and Daniel (Minnie) Munoz of Saugatuck, Michigan; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Francisca Gomez, of Edinburg.
Visitation will take place from 3 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, April 7, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton, in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 am Wednesday, April 8, 2009, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
