JULIA A. MUÑOZ EDINBURG - Julia A. Muñoz, 87, died Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Arbor View Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Edinburg. Born at Jose Maria Ranch, she had lived in Edinburg most of her life and was the last surviving member of the Anzaldua Family of 12. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Leonel Muñoz. Mrs. Munoz is survived by two sons, Leonel X. Muñoz, of Addison, Texas, Rolando R. (Wendy) Muñoz, of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Sylvia D. Muñoz, of Addison, Texas; five grandchildren, Leonel Robert Muñoz, Aymee Wolanski, Jonathan M. Muñoz, Nicholas E. Muñoz and Anastasia N. Muñoz. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
