MICAELA REYNA 

EDINBURG - Micaela Reyna, 79, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg.

Micaela was a devoted caregiver who dedicated her life to helping others. Her faith in God was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and relationships. She had a special bond with her puppy, Bronco, who brought her joy and companionship. Micaela expressed her love by comforting those around her and sharing her passion for cooking, often preparing delicious meals for family and friends. She also cherished her time in the garden, nurturing her plants with care. A lover of Coca-Cola, she enjoyed sharing a cold drink with loved ones. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Liborio Reyna; and son, Hermenjildo Reyna. 

Mrs. Reyna is survived by her four children, Maribel (Joe Gonzales), Abigail (Jerry) Reyna-Cavazos, Jubel Reyna, and Seth Reyna; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Angelica Castilleja.

 Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.

A Funeral Mass will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 501 E. Kuhn St. in Edinburg.  A Memorial Service will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Friday, January 30, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
