EDINBURG – Ruben Mendoza Jr., 59, went home to our Lord Sunday, April 15, 2018, at his residence in Edinburg.
He was born in Edinburg and lived there all of his life.
Mr. Mendoza is preceded in death by his mother, Alicia Mendoza; two nephews, Sebastian Silva and Jesse Chavez.
He is survived by his son, Isaac (Selina Carrillo) Romo; two daughters, Erika Yvonne (Paul Valdez) Mendoza, Selena Marie (Julius Flores) Romo, all of Edinburg; four grandchildren; his father, Ruben Mendoza Sr.; a brother, Joe Mendoza; four sisters, Rosalva (Raul Ruiz) Chavez, all of Edinburg, Rosalinda Mendoza, Rachel Mendoza, both of Sharyland, and Angelica Torres of Elsa; and the mother of his children, Elizabeth Romo of Edinburg.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary today, April 17, 2018, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Interment of cremated remains will take place at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
