MCALLEN - Anthony George "Tony" McIntyre, 76, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021, at his residence in McAllen.
Born in Minneapolis, MN, Tony had lived in Spring, TX most of his life, and had been residing in McAllen for the past 5 years. He served for 3 years in the U.S. Army and worked as a truck driver for 37 years.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Christina Godejohn; his parents, Miles E. McIntyre and Grace Downing; and a sister, Dorene Kay Lee.
Tony is survived by his loving wife, Brenda McIntyre; two daughters, Stephanie McIntyre, Zitlaly "Holly Molly" Lopez; a son, Angel "Curly Mo" Rodriguez; four siblings, Michael (Judy) McIntyre, Danny McIntyre, June (Jeff) Matsbu, Robert Downing Jr.; a niece Gabriella (Leon) Edmond; a sister in law, Alma (Juan) Vasquez; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
The family will have a private service at a later date.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
