EDINBURG – Jean E. McClelland, 94, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2020, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg.
Born in Tahoka, TX, Jean lived and taught at Robert E. Lee Elementary School in Edinburg most of her life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Edwin McClelland; and a son, James Henry McClelland.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Linda McClelland of Edinburg; daughter-in-law, Judy Cunningham McClelland of Edinburg; two granddaughters, Teena (Brad Nowak) McClelland of Chicago, IL, Kelley (Jason) Wells of Belmont, MA; and three great-grandchildren, Tierney Wells, Ronan Wells, and Evan Nowak. She will be remembered as a wonderful friend, wife, mother, and teacher.
Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
A memorial service will be held on a later date at the Edinburg First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Edinburg First United Methodist Church would be appreciated.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
