He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria G. Martinez in 2002; a brother, Esequiel Martinez; two sisters, Guadalupe Garza and Elisa Cantu.
Mr. Martinez is survived by six sons, Arturo (Terry) Martinez, Lionel (Janie) Martinez, Ruben (Julie) Martinez, Martin (Anna) Martinez, Arnulfo (Sylvia) Martinez Jr., Alberto (Lupita) Martinez; two daughters, Maria Omelia Martinez, Sylvia (Tony) Torres; 24 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Oralia Castillo.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roy Borrego Jr., Ruben Martinez Jr., Rene Martinez, Luis Martinez, Martin Martinez Jr., and Andres Martinez.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
