ROSA “ROSE” E. MARTINEZ PHARR – Rosa “Rose” E. Martinez, 60, died Saturday, September 27, 2014, at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Born in McAllen Mrs. Martinez had lived in Pharr most of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jesus and Agustina Martinez. Rose is survived by her husband, Raul Martinez of Pharr; two children, Yvonne (Aaron) Benavides of San Juan and Arnold William Martinez; five grandchildren, Alexis, Jacob, Victoria, Tiffany, Drew; two siblings, Martha (Aniceto) Rocha of Donna and Jesusita (Felipe) Perez of Weslaco; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, September 30, 2014, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at Crossroads Baptist Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
