Jesus Martinez, 105, a WW II Veteran, died Monday, December 11, 2017, at Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home in McAllen.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva Martinez; parents, Francisco Martinez and Juana Garza; two brothers, Francisco Martinez, Trinidad Martinez; and a sister, Maria Marroquin.
Mr. Martinez is survived by his daughters, Nelda Sanchez of Hurst, TX, and Irma Ortiz of Austin, TX; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12:30 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2017, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.
Funeral service are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
