Martina Villanueva, 83, died Saturday, September 5, 2026, at South Texas Health System in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her son, Leonardo Valdez.
Mrs. Villanueva is survived by her three children, Alma (Manuel) Gutierrez, Primitivo (Maria) Valdez, Jr. and Veronica (Arnulfo) Gonzalez; a daughter-in-law, Rosa Elena Valdez; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
