Martina G. Tijerina

MCALLEN – Martina G. Tijerina, 89, passed away Friday, September 11, 2026, at her residence in McAllen.

Martina will be remembered by her love of music, relaxing by the beach, shopping for special outfits, her beauty, words of wisdom and comfort. She loved with a firm but gentle heart. She will be remembered for the love she gave everyone from her sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. Most importantly, she will be remembered for the infinite love she had for her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her son, Jaime Tijerina; a grandson, Noel Tijerina Jr.; parents, Maximo and Teresa Gutierrez; two sisters; and three brothers.

Martina is survived by her three children, Nancy N. Gonzalez, Blanca Isela (Ronaldo Gutierrez) Tijerina, Noel Tijerina; 13 grandchildren, 35 great- grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; five sisters; and one brother

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service Monday, September 14, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
