MARIA GUADALUPE VELA DE VILLARREAL

ALAMO– Maria Guadalupe Vela De Villarreal,70, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.

She is preceded in death by parents, Domingo and Maria Vela.

Mrs. Villarreal is survived by her husband, Teodoro Villarreal; six children, Maribel (Peter) Villarreal, Marisol (Antonio) Cazares, Teodoro Villarreal, Jr., Everardo Villarreal, Marilu (Manuel) Ponce, and Maritza Villarreal; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and her seven siblings.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary, Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan.
