MARIA E. TREJO
PHARR – Maria E. Trejo, 67, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Epigmenio and Maria Guadalupe Soto; two siblings, Esteban and Miguel Soto; and a grandchild, Viviana Garcia.
Maria is survived by her husband, Luis Trejo; eight children, Claudia (Adrian) Fuentes, Marisol Trejo, Marcelina (Edgar Zavala) Trejo, Sonia Trejo, Luis (Andrea) Trejo Jr., Ruben (Ruby) Trejo, Raul (Viridiana) Trejo, Rolando (Iris Hernandez) Trejo; 21 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and eight siblings.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church in Pharr. Cremation will follow at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
