MARIA TERESA RODRIGUEZ

SAN JUAN- Maria Teresa Rodriguez, 82, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025, surrounded by her family in Edinburg.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Rodriguez; parents, Benjamin and Catalina Leon; a brother, Celso Leon; a sister, Gloria Hull; a great-grandson, Benjamin Cabrera.

Maria Teresa is survived by six children, Carmen (Gregorio) Trevino, Carlos (Marianela) Rodriguez, Rolando (+ Guillermina) Rodriguez, Rogelio (Marcela) Rodriguez, Claudia (Raul) Gonzalez, Laura Isela Rodriguez; 29 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; six siblings, Benjamin Leon, Elizabeth Valdez, Olga Leon, Nora Gutierrez, Graciela Garza and Alicia Garza.

Her legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we are comforted by the countless memories she gifted us.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.

Rest in peace, Grandma Tere. We love you Mami. Your light will never fade and your song will always play in our hearts.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gregorio H. Treviño, Amanda Rodriguez, Rolando Rodriguez, Rogelio Rodriguez, Christian J. Gonzalez and Benjamin Cabrera.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
