María Del Consuelo Soto

REYNOSA/HIDALGO- María Del Consuelo Soto, 89, went home to our Lord Saturday, July 12, 2025, at McAllen Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in La Presa de los Leones Municipio de Dr. Arroyo, Nuevo León, México, Mrs. Soto was a former resident of Reynosa, Tamaulipas, and was currently living in Hidalgo, Texas. She married the love of her life, Pedro Soto Jr. Hinojosa. on May 15, 1954, through the court, and three days later, they had their religious ceremony.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Soto Jr. Hinojosa; a son, Indalecio Soto De León; and her parents, Cresenciano De León Argüello and Felícitas Hinojosa Rangel.

María is survived by her ten children; Dellanira Soto (Jesús) García, Mireya (Ezequiel) Espinosa, Indalecio (Patricia) Soto, Adriana (Ismael) Espinoza, Idalia (Horacio) Ortiz, Pedro (Selena) Soto III, Audelia (Mario A.) Sotelo, María del Rosario (Juan Oziel) Guzmán, Haydée (Jaime F.) Castillo, Kameryna (José Rubén) Palomo; 38 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. A special tribute by her children will commence at 4:00 p.m., followed by a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens, located at 4607 N. Sugar Road in Pharr.
