Maria Alicia Sahagun

Maria Alicia Sahagun, 73, entered eternal rest Friday, February 21, 2025, at Windsor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of McAllen.

Born in Edinburg, Alicia lived in Pharr most of her life and was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fortunato and Celia Rivera Sr. ; a brother, Fortunato Rivera Jr.; and a sister in law, Diann Rivera.

Alicia is survived by siblings, Frances (Alvaro) Moreno, Consuelo (Ben) Rosalez, Jose Angel (Martha) Rivera, Beatriz Munoz, Jaime (Idalia) Rivera, Lorenzo (Claudia) Rivera, Oralia (Luis) Villarreal, Abel (Sandra) Rivera; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Monday, February 24, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral mass will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
