MARIA ORALIA “LALA” HERNANDEZ

SAN JUAN– Maria Oralia “Lala” Hernandez, 68, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025, at DHR Health Hospice in Edinburg.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Teofila De Leon; her father and mother in-law, Teodoro and Nicolasa Hernandez.

Mrs. Hernandez is survived by her husband of 47 years, Antonio Hernandez; four children, Antonio (Georgina) Hernandez Jr., Victor Hugo Hernandez, Alejandro Hernandez, Gloria Yvette (Marcos) Martinez; 12 grandchildren; and four siblings, Jose Cruz De Leon, Margarita Price, Guadalupe Solis, and Martha Alvarado.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
