Pharr- Maria De Jesus Lopez, 92 passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at her residence in Pharr.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Nereo Lopez Vargas; and her parents, Reymundo and Herminia Garza.

Maria is survived by her six children, Alejandro (Martha) Lopez, Mirtha (Jesus) Enriquez, Jesus (Silvia) Lopez, Rebecca (Narciso) Alcala, Gilberto (Maria) Lopez Garza, and Noelia (Gilberto) Salazar; 23 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. prayer service, Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, August 18, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
