Maria Luisa Sanchez 51, died Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
She is preceded in death by her father, Raul Gonzalez; and grandmother, Andrea Gonzalez.
Maria Luisa is survived by her husband, Francisco Sanchez; three children, Julissa D. Sanchez, Astrid A. Sanchez, Francisco A. Sanchez; her mother, Eva Gonzalez; four siblings, Consuelo Chapa, Eva Cardenas, Beatriz Blassingame, Raul Gonzalez Jr.; nephews and nieces, Liliana Chapa, Emmelyn Cardenas, Eduardo Chapa, Luis H. Cardenas, Andres Garcia, Vivian Chapa, Danara Cardenas, Adan Garcia, Raul Gonzalez III, Ivanna Rodriguez, and Camila Rosario.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, June 8, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2025, at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
