Maria Elena Higgins Dawa, 54, passed away Sunday, December 24, 2023, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bernabe Felix Dawa; and father, Vicente G. Escobedo.
Mrs. Higgins - Dawa is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Higgins; mother, Maria C. Escobedo; three sisters, Rosa Nelly Rodriguez, Veronica Juarez, Norma Escobedo; a niece, Nelly Rose Rodriguez; and a nephew, Vicente Noel Rodriguez.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Memorial Service Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
