MARIA DE JESUS REYNA DE ALFARO

EDINBURG – Maria De Jesus Reyna De Alfaro, 80, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, at her residence in Edinburg.

Maria enjoyed watching her favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys and play Loteria with family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Catarino Alfaro Sr.; three daughters, Maria Elsa Pena, Maria De Jesus Alfaro, Maria De Lourdes Longoria; parents, Jose and Guadalupe Reyna; granddaughter, Maribel Moreno; and a great-grandson, Sasuke Trejo.

Mrs. Alfaro is survived by her ten children, Martha (Paulo) Moreno, Nora Rios, Catarino (Nancy) Alfaro Jr., Juan Carlos (Terry) Alfaro, Blanca Zamarron, Susana (Rene) Mora, Jose “Bubba” (Martina) Alfaro, Guadalupe (Edgar) Araiza, Marcos (Anita) Alfaro, Ruth (Julio) Bautista; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson; four siblings, Rosa Reyna, Carmela Reyna, Guillermina Reyna, and Martin Reyna.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Memorial service Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
