MARIA A. CHAVEZ
EDINBURG – Maria A. Chavez, 81, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Briarrcliff Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Feliciano E. Chavez; and her daughter, Norma A. Garza.
Mrs. Chavez is survived by her four children, Marisela (Hector) Ochoa, Cindy (Luis) Casas, Jose Chavez, Melissa (Darrell) Sanchez; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Santiago Alvarez and Juan Alvarez.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Mondy, October 13, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Gardens in Pharr.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
