MARIA C. “CONCHA” LOPEZ

ALAMO– Maria C. “Concha” Lopez, 85, passed away Friday, January 16, 2026, at DHR Hospice in Edinburg.

She is preceded in death by parents, Arturo Martinez and Concepcion Garza Castaneda; six siblings, Arturo Martinez, Jr., Manuela Vela, Beatrice Aguilar, Ana Maria Farias, Amelia Martinez, Alicia Martinez Castro; and great-grandparents, Manuel and Ramona Garza.

Mrs. Lopez is survived by her husband, Bonifacio Lopez; four children, Maria Alvarita (Ismael) Cano, Armando (Janie) Lopez, Javier (Gloria Castro) Lopez, and Leticia Lopez; Ten grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Angelita Martinez; and her two brothers, Alfonso (Vicky) Martinez, and Javier Manuel Castaneda.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary, followed by a  memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in San Juan.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of San Juan.
