MARIA ISABEL BRYAND
EDINBURG – Maria Isabel Bryand, 70, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026, at Baylor St. Luke Hospital in Houston.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfonso Bryand; parents, Francisco and Adelina Rocha; and brother, Francisco Rocha.
Mrs. Bryand is survived by her two children, Cindy M. (David) Zapata; Alphonso I. (Melissa) Bryand; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two siblings, Ramon Rocha, Delia Flores; and her caretaker, Martha Maldonado.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 9 a.m. Friday, May 8, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
