SAN JUAN - Maria Elena Alcala, 64, died Saturday, February 7, 2026, at her residence in San Juan.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Estevan Alcala; her parents, Rogelio and Felipa Hernandez; and a sister, Norma Bertha Hernandez-Fitch.
Mrs. Alacala is survived by her two children, Joanna Alcala and Esteban Alacala, Jr.; two brothers, Rogelio Hernandez, Jr. and Jorge Hernandez.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
