MARIA A. GOMEZ
EDINBURG – Maria A. Gomez, 74, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Sunset Estates in Oregon.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Idelfonso Villa; parents, Trinidad Gomez and Virginia Landa; three grandchildren, Jonah Reyes, Robert Martinez III, Nayeli Giselle Silva; three siblings, Hilda Gomez, Juan Vidales, Luis Gonzaga Escobedo Sr.; and son-in-law, Jesus Morales.
Mrs. Gomez is survived by her five children, Irma Morales, Alicia (Juan) Reyes, Tammy (Alejandro) Osorio, Christina Bautista, Angelica (Eric) Silva; 23 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Feliciano Gomez; and half-sister, Lucy Robertson.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
