EDINBURG – Sheri Mappes, 50, died Sunday, April 5, 2009, at her residence in Edinburg.
Born in Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Mappes had lived in Edinburg since 1996 and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in McAllen.
Mrs. Mappes is survived by her husband, John Mappes of Edinburg; a daughter, Stephanie Mappes of San Antonio, Texas; a son, Tyler Mappes of Edinburg; her parents, John D. Anderson and Mavis J. Anderson; and a brother, Randy Anderson, all of Plano, Texas.
Visitation will take place from 5 to 9 pm, today, April 7, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton, in Edinburg. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Dallas, Texas.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church Youth Group, 300 West Pecan Blvd., McAllen, Texas 78501.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
