Manuel B. Gonzalez Jr.

ALAMO- Manuel B. Gonzalez Jr., 82, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, in Edcouch.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Aurora Guajardo; son, Mauricio Gonzalez; parents, Manuel B. Gonzalez Sr. and Elida Sambrano; and two sisters, Irma Gonzalez and Ilda Vasquez.

Manuel is survived by his two sons, Manuel Gonzalez III and Marco Antonio Gonzalez; ten grandchildren, German X Gonzalez, Aurora I Gonzalez, Athena R. Gonzalez, Manuel Gonzalez IV, Jeannie Salinas, Amy Okoro, Ryan Ortega, Kati Gonzalez, Mandeline Cortez, Miranda Gonzalez; and 18 great-grandchildren, Niel Tshimala, Scarlett Gonzalez, Myla Gonzalez, Angela Gonzalez, William Jarred, Willow Jarred, Emmie Salinas, Eloise Salinas, Eric Ortega, Rowan Ortega, Josue Benavidez, Levi Benavidez, Elianna Benavidez, Bobo Okoro, Ivy Okoro, Mathias Okoro, Dimitri Gonzalez, Isabela Carpenter; and three siblings, Eloy Gonzalez, Eduardo Gonzalez and Inelda Gonzalez.

A memorial service will begin at 4 p.m. with a 6 p.m. service Monday, November 9, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Cremation took place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
