Donna - Magdalena Sustaita De Lopez, 85, passed away Monday, November 1, 2026, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Felipe Lopez; her children, Ismael Lopez, Adolfo Lopez, Esther Lopez, Benita Lopez, and Roque Lopez; her parents, Lucio and Cirila Sustaita; and five siblings.
Magdalena is survived by her seven children, Demetrio (Maria del Socorro) Lopez, Jose Luis (Juana) Lopez, Reyna (Hugo) Olvera, Andrea Lopez, Marcela Lopez, Mayra (Michael) Banks, Felipe (Danielle) Lopez; 18 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and three siblings.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2026, at St Joseph Catholic Church in Donna. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
