AURORA MAGALLAN
ALAMO - Aurora Magallan, 85, died Tuesday, October 13, 2009 at San Juan Nursing Home.
Born in Kingsville, Texas, Mrs. Magallan was formerly of San Juan and had lived in Alamo for the past 10 years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Genovevo Magallan; a son, Genovevo Magallan, Jr.; her parents, Aurelio and Adela Aleman; three sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. Magallan is survived by three daughters, Silvia (Jorge) Pena of Pharr, Estella (Mario) Ayala of San Juan and Rosa Ida (Leo) Guerrero of Seattle, Washington; four sons, Mario (Elda) Magallan of Alamo, Oscar (Elena) Magallan of McAllen, Aurelio Magallan and Arturo Magallan, both of Donna; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Julia Salinas and Esperanza Morgan.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, today, October 15, 2009 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
