Lucinda Torres

Lucinda Torres, 85, passed away to be with our Lord, Sunday, August 16, 2026, at her residence in Edinburg.

She is preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Guadalupe Jesus Torres.

Mrs. Torres is survived by her eight children, Martin (Ninfa) Adame, Guadalupe Torres Jr., Cesar Fernando (Liz) Torres, Javier Torres, Maria Elena Torres, Nora Torres (Santiago), Monica (Josh) Quintanilla, Criselda Torres; 23 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren; and sister, Flora Garcia.

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. today Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die."

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
