MCALLEN- Lucia Flores Rivera, 90, passed away Sunday, August 23, 2026, at her residence in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Encarnacion and Vicenta Flores.
Lucia is survived by her husband, Arturo Rivera; four children, Arturo (Dalia) Rivera Jr., Amelia Boyd; George Richard (Denia Puerto) Rivera, Noe Rivera; five grandchildren, Carlos Rivera, Marissa Rivera, Cameron Michael Arredondo, Leighanne Kylie Lamach, Christian Miguel Rivera; eight great-grandchildren, Addison, Ezra, Penelope, Franchesca, Scarlet, Max, Kyanne Sue, Maximus Oak; and two sisters, Elvira Rivera and Esperanza Watts.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with a 6 p.m. service Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Cremation will take place at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
