LEONILA S. LONGORIA
Edinburg- Leonila S. Longoria, 76, went home to the Lord Monday, January 14, 2019, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Mexico, she had lived in Edinburg most of her life. Leonila dedicated her life to her family and always placed her children before herself. She enjoyed praying and had a strong faith in the Lord. Leonila enjoyed socializing, playing bingo, outdoor activities and loved gardening. Her smile and charisma are going to be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Julian and Eva Saenz; three sisters and two brothers.
Leonila is survived by her three children, Eugenio N. Longoria, Ponciano N. (Rebeka) Longoria, Irlanda A. (Jose Viera) Longoria, all of Edinburg; three grandchildren, Raul T. Elizondo, Jr., Carlos A. Elizondo, Kassandra N. Elizondo, all of Edinburg; seven sisters and three brothers.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. rosary Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Mission in Lopezville. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Pallbearers will be Jose Flores, Omar Navarro, Raul Elizondo, Jr., Carlos A. Elizondo, Carlos X. Leal, and Jose Viera.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
