LEONEL CRUZ JR.
WESLACO – Leonel Cruz, Jr., 54, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Brownsville.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leonel Cruz; one brother, Michael Lyn.
Leonel is survived by his mother, Mary Anita Handy; siblings, Jaime Cruz and Angie (Julio) Veliz; four nieces and nephews, Elijah, Luca, Emma Veliz, and Bobby Ray Cruz; Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. prayer service, Sunday, June 21, 2026 at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m, Monday, June 22, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
