EDINBURG - Raul Gonzalez De Leon, 66, died Friday, June 17, 2011, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.
Born in Burgos, Tamaulipas, Mexico, Mr. Gonzalez lived in Edinburg most of his life and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his father, Guadalupe Gonzalez.
Mr. Gonzalez is survived by his wife, Eva Gonzalez; a son, Raul (Maricruz) Gonzalez Jr., both of Edinburg; four daughters, Maria Luisa (Francisco) Sanchez, Eva (Luis) Cardenas, both of McAllen, Consuelo (Sotero) Chapa, Beatriz (Rigo) Garcia, both of Edinburg; his mother, Maria Andrea Gonzalez; and six siblings, Porfirio (Margarita) Gonzalez, Alicia (+Aurelio) Gonzalez, Graciela (Elias) Cortez, Belia Cantu, Lupita (Jesus) Andrade and Daniel (Rosalva) Gonzalez.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 pm, with a 7 pm rosary today, June 19, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10 am Monday, June 20, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
