EDINBURG - Leocadia Ortiz Balderas, 81, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024, at McAllen Medical Center.

Mrs. Balderas is survived by her husband, Ramiro Balderas; 9 children, Ramiro (Raquel Ramos) Balderas Jr., Daniel (Antonia Gutierrez) Balderas, Raul (Leticia Galaviz) Balderas, Sylvia Balderas, Esteban (Nora Reyna) Balderas, Ruby Jean (Juan) Beltran, Patricia Ann Balderas, Clarice Yvette Balderas, Becky Lynn (Hector) Rangel; 29 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and three siblings, Marcos Ortiz, Jaime Ortiz, and Minverva Olivarez.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
