LYDIA LEAL EDINBURG - Lydia Leal, 61, died Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen. Mrs. Leal was born in Edinburg and had lived there all of her life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Abelino and Eliza Leal; three brothers, Benjamin, Guadalupe, and Roy Leal. Lydia is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Leal of Edinburg; four sisters, Maria Cristina (Adan) Quintanilla, Elizabeth (Joe) Rodriguez, both of Edinburg, Blanca (Manuel) Ramirez of Houston, Consuelo Leal of Edinburg; three brothers, Benjamin (Rita) Leal of Fresno, CA, Martin (Ninfa) Leal of Houston, Juan Leal of Edinburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place from 5 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2015, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
