EDINBURG – Connie Lara, 46, passed away to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at her residence in Edinburg.
Born in Lockney, Texas, Mrs. Lara had lived in Edinburg most of her life. She was a member of Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in McAllen.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Manuel and Maria Arjona.
Mrs. Lara is survived by her husband, Ricardo Lara, Jr.; three children, Jessica Lee Salinas, Ricardo Lara, III and Nicole Marie Lara all of Edinburg; three grandchildren, Samuel Jacob Sanchez, Esteban Salinas, Jr. and Stephanie Salinas; her parents, Ramon and Maria Madrigal of Edinburg; four sisters, Romelia Damian and Celia Rodriguez both of Edinburg, Melissa Gonzalez of Houston, Texas, and Kristi Marie Gonzalez of McAllen; three brothers, Ramon Madrigal, Jr. of New Braunfels, Texas, Jose Luis Gonzalez of Edinburg and Julian Gonzalez of Mission; and her in-laws, Ricardo and Maria Guadalupe Lara of Pharr.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 9 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service today, August 14, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2009, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
