Juanita Sanchez

SAN JUAN- Juanita Sanchez, 79, died Monday, May 12, 2025, at McAllen Medical Center.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hipolito Sanchez; parents, Romulo and Josefina Velasco; and one sister.

Juanita is survived by her children, Nora Hilda (Felipe) Canales, Jorge Luis Sanchez, Lenny Lisbeth Sanchez; and eight grandchildren, Janell Hernandez, Amairany Dominguez, Bryan Canales, Jorge Luis Sanchez Jr., Alexis Sanchez, Marilyn Sanchez, Adonis Sanchez, Daniel Tijerina; seven great-grandchildren, Ayline Hernandez, Angelina Hernandez, Alyssa Hernandez, Jaclynn Sanchez, Liam Canales, Jace Canales, Alexis Sanchez Jr.; and a great- great grandchild, Jolene Hernandez. 

Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m., Thursday, May 15, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
