JUAN JOSE RIOS

EDINBURG – Juan Jose Rios, 78, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025, at DHR Health Hospice in Edinburg.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Locario and Josephine Rios; and brother, Rosario Rios.

Mr. Rios is survived by his wife of 41 years, Lorena O. Rios; two daughters, Priscilla (Alfred Garza) Rios, and Juanita Rios; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Guadalupe Wise, and Mary Hernandez; numerous nieces and nephews; and several in laws.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Pallbearers will be Jose Rafael Hernandez, Luis Ochoa, Hugo Diaz, Galdino Berman, Andres Ochoa, Henry Martinez, Juan Bosquez and Andres Guzman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lauren Perez, Meadow Zamora, Janessa Rodriguez, Lorena Diaz, and Bryce Perez.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
