Pharr – Jose Mendoza, 74, passed away Friday, August 21, 2026, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in McAllen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joss Mendoza and Maria Gonzalez.
Jose is survived by his significant other, Martha Milanes; seven children, Jose Mendoza, Rafael Mendoza and Maydalena (Jessie) Lopez, Maximus (Ysamar) Mendoza, Maria (Ramon) Garcia, Jessica (Arnold) Orzoco, Adriana (Rafael) Parra; nineteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. rosary Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral Service will take place at 12 noon Wednesday, August 26 ,2026, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
