PHARR- Jose “Joe” Garcia, 75, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Valley Baptist Medical CTR in Harlingen.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alberto and Maria Bertha Garcia; and six siblings.
Joe is survived by his wife, Elida C. Garcia; three children, Belia (Ramiro) Zuniga, Joey (Maritza) Garcia, Albert (Monica) Garcia; ten grandchildren, Sergio Vidal Martinez, Landen Suarez, A.J. Garcia, Joey Ryan Garcia, Adysen Garcia, Liam Garcia, Brianna Garcia, Elliana Garcia, Christian Garcia, Gianna Garcia; and a great-grandchild, Sebastian Andrew.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place 10 a.m. Monday, August 17,2026 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Pharr. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
