SAN JUAN- Jose Jilpas, 77, passed away Saturday, July 18,2026 at South Texas Health System McAllen.
He is preceded in death by six siblings, Guadalupe Jilpas, Hector Jilpas, Arturo Jilpas, Esther Jilpas, Imelda Cantu and Ernesto Jilpas.
Jose is survived by his wife of 45 years, Maria G. Jilpas; two sons, Jose Arman Jilpas and Marco A. Jilpas; granddaughter, Natalia Alegria Jilpas; and ten siblings, Jessica Serna, Juanita Carpenter, Rosa Rodriguez, Santa Vasquez, Estella Campos, Gloria Olvera, Yolanda Noble, Azeneth Acevedo, Juan Jilpas and Hector Ramon Jilpas.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan. Funeral service will take place at 12 noon Friday, July 24, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Cremation will follow at Memorial Cremation Center in Edinburg.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan.
