JOSE ARNOLDO “PEPE” GUERRA

EDINBURG – Jose Arnoldo “Pepe” Guerra, 89, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Edinburg Regional Medical Center.

He was born at the DV Guerra Ranch on December 4, 1935, to Jose Angel and Julia Guerra. He was raised at the ranch and worked as ranch foreman all his adult life.

Mr. Guerra is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jose Angel Guerra Jr. and Jesus Guerra.

He is survived by his loving wife, Martina Guerra; two sisters, Socorro Lucio, Alicia Tijerina; sisters-in-law, Maria Garcia and Angelita (Jose Luz) Claudio; brothers-in-law, Arturo (Maria Guadalupe) Llanos Sr., and Jose Luis Llanos; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 E. Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, November 17, 2025, at Saint Anne Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at El Rucio Cemetery in San Manuel.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cruz Llanos, Arturo Llanos Jr., Joel Llanos, Joey Guerra, Salvador Tijerina Jr., Miguel Guerra, Joe Colunga.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Guerra and Dario Guerra.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
